Influence of Body Weight and Water Temperature on Growth in Ragworm Hediste diversicolor

Cultivation of the common ragworm—Hediste diversicolor—has attracted a great deal interest in recent years. Growth optimization is key aspect for its intensive production. We have assessed effect body weight (Bw) and temperature (T) on growth-related parameters ragworm using correlation multiple regression analyses. used ragworms 13 different classes 15-day growing assays at 12 values. These polychaetes were stocked density 1000 individuals m?2, fed with commercial fish feed. Our results show that growth increases T; when expressed as an absolute rate (AGR), Bw increases; specific (SGR), decreases increases. A change pattern was observed from individual about 400 mg. Simulations performed equations provided best fit revealed optimum T changes Bw, so below mg, 24.9 °C, above this decreases. In slightly temperature, but increases, less less, 1050 Mortality significantly temperatures 22 especially showed up to mg quite fast warmer temperatures, influence not relevant operational terms.
